A great future is built on a strong past. That's why we document the journey STAXS® has made over the past 30+ years. And we like to share these milestones with you. From our founding, to the building of our first cleanroom and our biggest expansion yet.
Take the journey with us through STAXS® history and find out what shaped our company!
Where it all started
At the end of the 1980s, CCS BE launches in Belgium. In the 1990s, TAC begins its journey in the Netherlands. Even from that very beginning, there was a shared core focus: supplying high-quality cleanroom consumables to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
Our customers needed solutions that weren't available on the market yet. So, we take matters into our own hands. We begin developing innovative products that meet these unmet needs: the DOTCH® brand was born! This lays the foundation for what STAXS® stands for today.
2000
We take a major step forward by building a cleanroom facility in Heerenveen, The Netherlands. This centralizes the in-house cleanroom processing of DOTCH® productsand ensures high standards of quality control, managed directly by our internal QA department.
2001
To keep up with the growing demand for DOTCH® products, we establish partnerships with our long-standing international manufacturers. This strengthens our cleanroom supply chain, giving us control over production and quality from start to finish.
2010
TAC and CCS merge to form STAXS®. Both former companies shared a passion for developing new products that contribute to progress in cleanroom technology. This focus on innovation, and addressing the unmet needs of customers in Europe, lives on in STAXS® until today.
We also double the capacity of our central warehouse, enabling increased safety stock levels and reinforcing our position as a trusted cleanroom consumables supplier.

2016
We rebrand our DOTCH® product line to focus even more on scientific credibility and high performance. Our mission is to provide cleanroom consumables of high quality, tailored to pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
2017
STAXS® expands its European footprint and adopts a profound change in its sales strategy. By strengthening our presence across Europe, we're working hard to enhance the reputation and visibility of DOTCH®.
To support the growth of our staff, the Belgian office moves into its own dedicated STAXS® building in Niel, Antwerp, giving our staff room to thrive.
2018
We mark a major milestone! The DOTCH® syringes range is now certified as medical devices. This opens the door to the medical sector and demonstrates our commitment to quality, compliance, and innovation. In addition to sterile syringe packs, STAXS® also provides in-depth product information in line with the medical device regulations, offering full support to our customers.
2022
We expanded our Heerenveen warehouse once again to meet increased stock demands and enable further innovation. This investment supports our European growth strategy and strengthens our ability to develop new cleanroom products.
In the same year, Haniel’s CWS Cleanrooms acquires a majority stake in STAXS®, establishing a Cleanroom Consumables platform with a shared mission: serving our customers in all their cleanroom needs.
2023
Together with CWS, we take a full-service approach: offering both cleanroom consumables and expert services. This ensures high-quality contamination control and compliance with industry standards.
2024
We earn a Platinum Medal from EcoVadis, highlighting the strength of our sustainability practices. It reflects the quality of our sustainability management and demonstrates a commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain.
2025
We achieve ISO 14001 certification, a milestone that reinforces our dedication to environmental sustainability and showcases another important step in our ongoing commitment to sustainability. Quality and care for the environment go hand in hand.
What we see in our future
Innovation drives us forward. We continue to expand across the Benelux, Nordics, and beyond. Our collaborative culture, commitment to sustainability, and focus on customer-driven product development position us to make a meaningful impact within cleanrooms and throughout the world.
