What happens to used consumables?

Have you ever considered the journey of our cleanroom consumables once they have completed their primary use?In highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals and life sciences, reusing products is often not an option due to strict contamination control requirements and regulatory standards. However, it remains our responsibility to consider the environmental impact of what happens after these products have served their purpose.

By extending the lifecycle of materials, we actively reduce dependence on virgin raw materials and minimize our contribution to global waste streams. Through the STAXS® Second Life programme, eligible consumables can be returned after use. We then ensure that these items are safely collected and processed, transforming them into new raw materials that will contribute to the creation of new products.

This approach not only reduces environmental waste, but also enhances material longevity and strengthens sustainability efforts across the supply chain. Each step is managed with an emphasis on compliance, safety, and environmental stewardship.

The outcome? Reduced waste generation, extended material usability, and concrete progress toward a sustainable future for both our industry and the planet.
